Dell has finally decided to enter the netbook market, releasing the Dell Inspiron Mini 9. The basic model comes loaded with Ubuntu 8.04 and a custom Dell interface to help you make the most of your system. The hardware includes 512MB of DDR2 533MHz RAM and 4GB SSD.
The Intel Atom N270 1.6GHZ processor is the brains inside of this system, and graphics are taken care of by the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 950, which nicely compliments the 8.9 inch LCD screen capable of resolutions as high as 1024x600. The entry-level model can be bought for $349 and comes in either black or (for $25 extra) white.
The Windows XP version of the netbook comes with 1GB of memory and 8GB SSD, as well as the ever-useful Bluetooth 2.1 and a 1.3 megapixel camera to chat with your friends face to face.
